He's Finally Here!

Diddy Kong, one of the most highly requested characters for inclusion in the Smash Bros. series, is finally here! His crazy fighting style and Peanut Pop Gun have joined Brawl!

Donkey Kong’s pal has finally joined the battle! Unfortunately, screenshots fail to truly capture the way he moves.

He scrambles around the battle, using whimsical fighting moves while wielding both his Rocketbarrel Boost and Peanut Pop Gun!

    Didn't interest me as much as the Pokemon Trainer when I first saw this on the Dojo. I don't know why, Diddy Kong just seems kind of bland to me, for some reason.

    That is just totally weird, and Diddy Kong just doesn't go with Squirtle one little bit. Oh well, I won't be interested.

    I guess it was a bit obvious Diddy Kong would appear in Brawl, sadly he isn't a character I would probably use.

    Finally have another Kong member. I'd expect nothing less though. They'd be blind if they hadn't put another character from his series in the second sequel.

      Nope...so far as I know, he is either just a friend, or some sort of relative? They both have the 'kong' name, so I'm thinking a cousin, or brother or something?

      But yeah, I don't believe they are father and son...

      Then again, I'm not big on the DK series...

    He's just Donkey Kong's friend. He calls him "little buddy", and never referred to him as a relative.

    The picture of him and Squirtle just makes me laugh, I'm not sure why ...

    Well, Diddy Kong could be an interesting character. I hope it's nothing like the Link/Young Link thing in Melee. He should be completely original, not a DK clone with a few changes. They promised to try to avoid clones in Brawl. I see he is armed, as well ...

    I saw these images on ONM yesterday. Hm, I dunno if I'd play as him. I may give him a try, but I never really liked Donkey Kong and I'm guessing Diddy will have some similar moves, maybe more speed than power, though. I think I'll still stick with Starfox though.

    It's about time they put him up there. I can't wait till this game comes out, I need to save up to get it though. I'm hoping he's not a copy of Donkey Kong and has agility over power. That would just suck, they need to have something original.
