Many of you may have heard the news that gamestop will be starting there own onlive type of gaming rental service and because of that they do not want to support onLive in any way. Deus Ex: Human Revolution on the other hand likes OnLive and is giving away a coupon for pc gamers. Gamestop has told there workers to remove this from the game before it is to be sold.

Please immediately remove and discard the On Live coupon from all regular PC versions of Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Our desire is to not have this coupon go to any customers after this announcement.

um, nothing wrong with this and not surprising. they want to promote Impulse which they just bought.

    besides OnLive sucks anyway.

Not surprising maybe, but I do think it's wrong. You open the game case you give me used price, I say.

it wouldve been more fair if they sold them for $50-55 for the ones they opened.

on the other hand it could be that they expressly told Squeenix to send them copies without that code in it and they didnt. dont really know both sides of the story.

Yeah, I mean there's two sides of the story, but basically they can choose to not sell it if they have that problem. Reaching out to ask for codeless copies was a reasonable step, even if it's a tad unrealistic.

The problem is where they demand to have it their way anyway, like a toddler who hasn't learned that not everything can benefit him more than others, sometimes you gotta choose the one that bothers you the least.

they do own the product they buy it then resell it however they work with the maker to sell it and are to sell it under there terms. this is above and beyond that.
