25 ways Resident Evil 5 will scare you shitless

Games radar has set up a list on how resident evil 5 will scare you. Its a fairly good list. Most of the better ones are later one. This time resident evil is set in Africa. Sadly the game won't be out until 2009. Click the link to view the list.

1) Capcom is taking its time over the game instead of rushing it out to cash in on the success of Resident Evil 4. Chief producer Jun Takeuchi confirmed recently that it won’t be released until 2009.

2) There’s some top, seasoned talent onboard. Writer Haruo Murata and director Kenichi Ueda also did the same jobs on RE 4, while producer Jun Takeuchi worked on the first three Onimusha games as well as Lost Planet: Extreme Condition for Xbox 360.

3) After two years of speculation, Chris Redfield definitely is back as the lead character. He looks proper hard and beefed-up like he’s overdosed on steroids, as opposed to the slightly weedy model last seen in Resident Evil Code: Veronica.

    I'm glad they're taking their time. The longer they take the more time they have to make this game the best ever, which I have no doubt they will do.

      Agreed.

      Also, the price of the PS3 might probably be cheaper by then. Who knows?

      I'm looking forward to this game, too.

    Many of those 25 are more about how awesome the game will be rather than how it will scare me shitless. I don't know about the new daylight look, but Capcom is good at this stuff. I'm sure they can pull off a good scare during the day. And besides that, the game does look incredibly fun.

    This game looks great. 2009 is awfully far, but oh well. It's not like I'll be getting a PS3 or 360 soon. Can't afford any until sometime in 2008, if I'm lucky.

    Scare? Don't make me laugh, the game will be "COOL" though. Leave the actual scaring for REAL Japanese Horror games.

    I agree with the above comments that these seem to be reasons that will make RE5 "cool", rather than "scary".

    And to be honest ... the daylight setting isn't looking as scary as previous RE games (that were set during the night), though I'm still looking forward to these sorts of differences that will appear in RE5.

    This game is shaping up to be a terrible Resident Evil in my opinion.

    Noobs, that is what Resident Evil is all about. I agree with others here, "cool" definitely, "scary" no way.
