A new developer spotlight has Sledgehammer gamers talking about their new third-person Call of Duty game and basically saying it's going to be like Uncharted just attached to a world class franchise.

You still have that flame-proof jockstrap? Well, you might want to re-equip it because it’s about to get hot in here. In a developer insight video Sledgehammer Games, one of the three studios who worked on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, stated that they were working on a third-person version of CoD and that it would be like the Uncharted series, except it would part of a world class franchise. Is that built-in intercooler kicking in yet on that flame-proof jockstrap?

Loved the CoD fanboy in the comment section on the site. Crying a little to much.

Never seen what the big deal is about CoD. It's almost the same thing every year with a few changes. Loved MW2 but I can't stand to play Black Ops. Not even sure if I'm getting MW3.

Getting Uncharted 3 sooner or later. Probably later since I still need to finish the second game. Loving the first atm.

Lol i think COD developers have been smoking too much stuff to honestly believe there superior to uncharted. I'm gonna laugh when so many people pre order and realize that's its not that good.

What an incredibly moronic and strange thing to say.

I like the COD franchise, but *bleep* this cocky bastard. Uncharted is a better game by miles, and even if it weren't, this is such a dick thing to say.

I wonder if one of the requirements of working on COD is to have to have an over-rated ego and to be incredibly cocky

I don't hate the Call of Duty franchise, but I would definitely put Uncharted up there as the better series.

I bought a Ps3 just for Uncharted 2 and MGS4, I've never even spent my own money on a COD game. That pretty much sums up my feelings over this.

what is "world class"? doing good world wide? well we all know america's xbox sells bad in Asian places.

"It was pretty exciting, I mean the idea of the sort of global appeal of Call of Duty meets sort of the third-person genre for the first time. And there are a lot of fans out there who enjoy games like Uncharted, right? So you can imagine that genre meets a world-class franchise. "

i do not see a issue with what he said? ?

key words are "global appeal" and "world class franchise" when referring to COD, in a condescending manner comparative to Uncharted. basically he's implying Uncharted are neither of those things but COD is.

basically its the classic "this game sells a ton of copies therefore its automatically better than everything" symptom. if that was the case, Wii Sports would be one of the best games ever made.
