Levine Confirms No PS3 BioShock

Joystiq has talked to Ken Levine, the head designer for BioShock and Levine has clearly stated that there are no plans in the making of a Playstation 3 BioShock. He says that no, they are not hiding information or secrets from gamers, then promising that no PS3 version is in development.

Then there is the lingering question of the rumored PS3 version of BioShock found in the PC code. Levine responds quite clearly, "I promise you, there is no secret plan about the PS3 that we're keeping from people. There's no PS3 development going on that we're hiding. There's lots of stuff that gets into game code, plans change over time and we got an exclusive deal with Microsoft ... that's not a Rosetta Stone discovery."

    That's a shame for PS3 only owners and those who don't play on their PC's. This is an awesome game that I think everyone should get a chance to play. Hopefully it will help sell more 360's at least, even though the PS3 could use it.

    While I'm a bit surprised at the news, this goes well with my theory, that the "PS3" code, was simply left over from early development, and just not removed...

      You take the PS3 release rumors as fact and the head designers words as a rumor? Are you really that *bleep*ing stupid? I bet you don't consider Hideo Kojima's words as rumors.

      He's the head designer for Bioshock, there's no reason for him to lie.

    I can think of three good reasons money, money and lets see MONEY!!!!!!!

    Still I don't really care for Bioshock, by the time they redid it for the PS3 they software would be dated

    It's common sense. If Microsoft paid them to keep it exclusive and not tell anyone it's gonna be ported, he's gonna deny it as much as he possibly can.

    Even though I own all 3 consoles and I prefer the PS3 above them all, I agree with Cdemon in the last Bioshock article.

    I bet if this article was about MGS4 and if those were Hideo Kojima's words, you people wouldn't be dismissing this as a lie or rumor.

      Well We all Know he stated its exclusive so, that theory is out. And i doubt he will bring MGS4 multi.

          Well i like to wait and see, i mean bioshock could come eventually.
          Maybe not now but who knows. For all we know its a timed exclusive, for 9 months or a year. Thats why i want to see. Also Kojima words for MGS4 won't be exclusive cause his legacy of MGS was on PS. I mean after that game like MGS5 or something could be multi.

    I wouldn't have thought that this would become a PS3 title. Shooter and 360 go together like bread and butter Ah well, there's still other shooters to look forward to for PS3 this year, although they aren't exclusive.

    Meh, i thought the Bioshock was getting a PS3 version for sure... oh well, i dont have any of the next-gen consoles anyway, so i guess ill get it on my PC, even though ill be running it on LOW.
