Karl-Magnus Troedsson, General Manager at Dice, answered a few tough questions regarding the date of the Battlefield 3 beta in an interview with GamerSpawn and reveals the stat of the DICE team during this intense time before Battlefield 3's release.

Even though the beta is coming out seemingly quite late, it seems that the DICE team could still have used more time in preparing it.

    Because it's demo.. Every Battlefield does this they call it a beta but release it like a week before the game is due to go gold. Sure they can take what people say and fix it in patches later, but it still doesn't stop this being more of a demo than anything else.
