Halo 3: 100% Complete and Gold

Raven005 | August 26, 2007 | News | XBOX 360
Supposedly today, Frank O’Connor’s gamer tag, a Bungie employee, leaked onto the net that the title Halo 3 is now 100% complete and has gone Gold. It’s not hard to believe since the last Bungie update reported the game at 99.99%. Although we have not found the source officially, we still wanted to report this information to other fans.
This information was leaked by Frank O’Connor, who was spotted online (GT: Frankie) playing the final retail build of Halo 3.

It is just a term in the developer world that signals that the game is "perfect" and ready to be shipped to the public

No game is perfect and thats fact. And there needs to be some major improvements and differences from halo 1 and 2 b4 it can be that great. I mean halo 1 and 2 was pretty much similar. except for online play and a few more weapons.

Except Halo 1 was awesome and Halo 2 sucked in comparsion.

Anyways, it's good to know that Halo 3 is finished. Now all we have to do is wait for a month until it actually comes out.

@ finalblade: No game is perfect, yet you said in the FF7 forum that the game was flawless and gave it 100%

I'm not a huge Halo fan, but I'm sure the game will be awesome.

Humans are hypocritical by nature. We can't be expected to remember and follow every single thing we say :3

Oh your using that for this ok, that game too me was perfect, and 100%. Cause that was my first RPG and FF game i ever played. I could find some things wrong with it but again that game is not the same as halo.

I 100% agree, Halo 2 suck compared to its first. Which is why i said halo 3 needs to have some mind blowing stuff to beat halo 2.

"perfect" in the sense that the code is ready to be shipped, ie most of the bugs sorted out.

A game reaching "gold" status simply means the gold master that is used in production has been created (ie. it's ready for mass manufacturing).

A great story...is this supposed to be a trilogy? Once I see some information on it's multiplayer and co-op options, I'll get it.

How could Frankie's gamer tag be 'spotted' online playing the game?? Someone would also need to be playing in order to spot him and considering the game isn't available yet...well you get where I'm going.

You can see what games your friends are playing. You don't need to be playing the same game.

Question what use would that feature be used for, and why is it important to online gaming.
