Final Fantasy News Wrap Up

Tons of news has come out today that covers several different games in the Final Fantasy franchise. From Final Fantasy 14 to Final Fantasy XIII-2, GamerGaia has the news!

Today has seen the kickoff of the New York Comic Con and with that, a ton of news from the gaming world. One franchise in particular has seen a ton of news today and that is the always-popular Final Fantasy series.       Probably wont ever happen for you because your expectations are too high, you will probably be disappointed by every Final Fantasy game from this point on. Sorry, but it seems you are one of the many older FF fan who cant get out of the "glory days." You might need to go to a new fanbase. All this antiFf and anti-SE sentiments are making us real Final Fantasy fans irritated.

    If it were me I'd write FFXIV off as a lost cause. It's reputation is in the toilet and people have been playing it for free for almost a year now. It's Square Enix's own personal black hole.

    I'm with Jolly, but maybe Shadow is right. I started playing FF very early and tend to compare their games to FF VII and X, which were my two favorites.

    I have really lost interest in the Final Fantasy series. They were a big part of what got me into gaming, but after the FF XI being online (I wasn't interested) and FF XII being a so so game, I just haven't been able to get back into it. I haven't heard any game in the series described as a must-play since then, so I'm assuming I'm not missing anything.

      FFX is my favorite game ever made with FFVII close behind, but I want a different game and i know that if I compare all future titles to my favorite games, I will see it as a failure and not for what it really is; an entirely different game. People seem to think the old ways of Final Fantasy would work in this day an age. That is simply not the case.

      While I agree that FFXII and FFXIII were not my favorite FF games, both were GREAT RPGs and should be enjoyed as such. However, all these "FF fans" do is go online and bash them for not wowing them like FFVII or FFVI or FFX did. I do not care for MMOs so FFXI and FFXIV mean nothing to me. I really do wish they wouldnt use a number for those, it is truly a waste of a number. Make it something like Final Fantasy: Online or Final Fantasy: Lord of *insert elven city name*
