IGN takes a look at 10 games that may get overlooked this year. Judging from hands-on impressions, these games are coming along very nicely. But for some reason, they aren't very popular. Either way, these are ten titles that you won't want to miss.

The floodgates are well and truly opening on the release avalanche that will carry us through to the New Year. There's going to be a veritable treasure trove of gaming on offer over the next few months. We've already got BioShock and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (in the States), but it's not long until the likes of Skate, Super Paper Mario (in AU), World in Conflict and Halo 3. Then after that we slide neatly into Guitar Hero III, Rock Band (in the States - did I mention curse you?), Need for Speed ProStreet, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Pro Evolution Soccer 2008, Super Mario Galaxy, Crysis, Burnout Paradise, Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed. So many big names. So many top sellers and triple A titles.

This feature isn't about those games. It's about the games that could easily be overshadowed by the above, even though they don't deserve to be. Here are our Top 10 games to put on your radar.

I already know I"m getting Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness...Jeanne d'Arc (Joan of Arc?) seems a bit interesting, and I'll probably get Uncharted eventually...

I'm definitely getting Uncharted. It's one of my most anticipated PS3 games. Blacksite: Area 51 looks cool too.

I have to admit haven't played any of those games at all, was cosnidering picking up Disgaea because I liked the original but the others I didn't even think about.

Well, the gameplay demo of Blackout: Area 51 was pretty awesome, and that makes the game look pretty frigging cool. It looks like it will be one of those games you get and play into major hits.

Uncharted is a sleeper? It seems to be quite popular. I haven't followed it too much, but it definitely looks great. Amazing visuals, as well. I'd love to play it if I could. Naughty Dog is an excellent developer, they've had a great streak so far with their games.

That Hannah Montana game looks, shockingly, not terrible. It actually looks like a pretty decent guitar simulator for the DS, rather than the typical licensed game that basically sells purely by name.

The others, I don't know about, so I understand why they are sleeper hits ! Well, I know a few, but hardly enough to judge them.

I'm surprised Zack and Wiki didn't make the list. I mean, they started a whole campaign for it and all . I suppose all the attention it got afterwards may disqualify it as a sleeper, though.

Reason no one likes them... No one wants to play a DS game with a popstar dancing... They would rather play games by good companies, pokemon, final fantasy, mario...
