Games We Love but Wish We Could Love Playing

Despite the low Metacritic User Score and negative comments in the forums, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has actually posted some impressive sales numbers this week.

also, you cant compare game sales with box office results because games cost 5 or 6 times more than a movie ticket, so of course their revenue will be higher.
I also knew that all the BF3 fans would act like sales mean nothing the second MW3 outsold BF3. Sales do mean nothing, really, but that's not what fans of BF and COD were saying a few weeks/months ago...
Honestly, both sides of the argument are asinine, and making both fanbases look bad.
A typical forum conversation:
BF Fan: Lolol, BF3's gunna own MW3. It's gonna sell a million, trillion copies!!! Just look at da grafix, dood.
COD Fan: Nuh uh, MW3's the kewlest!
*MW3 outsells BF3*
BF Fan: Well, uh.... sales don't mean anything anyways. MW3 is stupid.
COD Fan: No, you're stupid!
I mean, really? Just play the game you like and shut up.
I'm just happy two companies made two great games for their fans to enjoy, and had enough success to continue doing so in the future.
sales, however, dont always mean the game is better. if that was the case, a lot of the Wii shovelware would be the best games ever made. even COD fans are admitting MW3 is nothing more than MW2.5, whereas BF3 perfectly blends the older BF games with newer aspects of the Bad Company series with nice graphics and much more destructibility than COD's ever seen. well, at least whenever the game isnt crashing or refusing to work properly.
I remember when, in an article about how DICE claimed they weren't competing with MW3's sales, you said they were just being humble so they don't look arrogant when BF3 mops the floor with MW3.
And now, you're acting like sales all of a sudden are irrelevant. They are irrelevant, but you're singing a different tune now than what you were before. Apparently they only meant something if the end result supported your opinion.
Like I said, just play the game you prefer and shut up. Talking a bunch of ignorant bullshit solves nothing.
I've yet to have MW3, or any COD game other than BO, crash in hundreds of hours of hours of play, destructible environments =/= a better game (I lol'd at that quite a bit), and MW3 has made a lot of changes compared to MW2.
It's obvious you're basing your argument on Youtube comments, and if that's the case, I'll take your "COD is shit", and raise you, "nuh uh, MW3 is da kewlest."
BF3's a good game. MW3's a good game. If you don't like one, just leave it alone. I prefer MW3, but I'm not going to BF3 forums talking shit about the game because I respect that some people prefer it. I'd appreciate if you'd do the same.
Christ...
obviously the game that sells more will have more people playing also, so i wont be surprised to hear that MW3 has more online hours. i will admit however, that im surprised MW3 sold as much as it did with Skyrim being in the same week. im curious to see what the results for this month will be with those 2 games.
have you even played BF3? whats the latest Battlefield youve played and why dont you like it?
repetitive, to say the least.
MW1- Wow! This is awesome!
MW2- Wow! Even more awesome! So much better!
MW3- Whoa, this is familiar... I paid how much!?!?!
I expected call of duty to do well. It's a game all its own. theres almost no similarities between call of duty and battlefield. I couldn't stand playing on the tiny maps in COD, but obviously millions prefer it. When I got battlefield, I felt free to do what I wanted. To play the game how I wanted. I felt limited in COD. thats why I like battlefield more. Not because of graphics. Though the graphics are pretty nice. lol. I hate fanboy wars. But we'll never get away from em. There'll always be a new one.
