The Virtual Console library is going to get a little bit bigger come September 11th. Japan will see the launch of the first Neo Geo title on the VC. The game is called 'Fatal Fury' and it will be sold for 900 Wii Points. There's no timetable yet for a Neo Geo release in the U.S. or Europe.

New games from the Neo Geo console will be making their way to the Japanese Virtual Console from September, SNK has confirmed.

The arrival of the new format on the Wii retro download service will kick off on September 11 with beat-'em-up, Fatal Fury, followed later that month by another fighter, World Heroes, and scrolling action game Magician Lord. Neo Geo games will cost 900 Wii Points

Only in Japan, Lizzo. Other regions will have to wait, although a worldwide release was confirmed.

I'm interested in playing some of these games. I wasn't one of the 1 million people or so people who owned one . $650 is just too much for a console. I'm familiar with a few of the franchises, however, like King of Fighters and Metal Slug, so I might download a few of these games. After all, the Virtual Console isn't just for re-experiencing my favourite NES, SNES and Genesis classics, but trying out old games I missed out on back in the day(not that I missed out on Metal Slug, I'm quite fond of the series).
