The makers of Call of Duty video game series have just released new sales info on Modern Warfare 3 compared to other large entertainment. The fastest grossing movie of all time was avatar and call of duty modern warfare 3 smashed there record.

“Engagement of our Call of Duty audience continues to rise around the world” said Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard. “Call of Duty as an entertainment franchise has made an indelible mark on popular culture and its broad and continued success is further validation that audiences increasingly value interactive experiences over passive experiences.”

    Well, when a video game costs $60 and a movie ticket on average costs like $12, I should actually think that it's more impressive that a movie got that high, rather than a video game.

    Especially considering the game in question is as average as it is.

      I actually really enjoyed it. Still you can play that both ways.

      Sure it costs more, but look at the install base. Almost anyone in the world could have went to see Avatar no problem, but a game requires you own expensive hardware.

    If they did entertainment records separately, Avatar would still be at the top.
