Just when you started to think that Japanese consumers get a better deal on everything when it comes to Japanese Console Games... well you'd better think again, as this proves that living in Japan doesn't always mean that you will get all the games that are released (as is the case with Square-Enix and their need to re-release an updated game).

Warhawk which is being sold in the US and Europe (well will eventually) as either a downloadable off the PSN or a Blu-Ray game will only be coming to Japan as a downloadable. This will mean no headset for those in Japan I'm afraid. However they will have to pay a little lower as the game is being sold for 3800Yen which is around $33.

But let's also not forget the biggest Problem when it comes down to downloading as opposed to getting the game on the BD.

Shows that you don't always need BD? ZING.

Optical media is going the way of the dodo. Wait till you all see that new iPod this Wednesday (hopefully it DOES have flash memory).

I find downloading convenient in its own ways. If you treat your console's hard drive right, you should have no worries.

With games approaching Bethesda's HUGE sized data caching (4 Gigs), I don't see why you don't need discs.

Not to mention the DL versions are pretty much copyright protected so you're screwed if you ever wanna rip it off.
