Young Kids Caught Stealing A Wii

xsynergyx | September 03, 2007 | News | Wii Misc
WCVB-TV reports two twelve year old kids and a fifteen year old teen broke into a house, stealing many electronic devices, one being the Nintendo Wii. They were caught by local police and will be facing community service as punishment.
A resident returned to his home Saturday afternoon to find a 12-year-old girl holding the game console, Boston police said. As he reached out to catch the girl, he heard other intruders in his home.

Haha, I don't blame them, the Wii is a great console.

But actually this is pretty sad. I wonder what made them do it?

Never mind community service, I say fines to the parents, that'll put them in shape because their Parents will be furious, and will inevitably clamp down on them.

Sad a sad story, its like the kids who took one game using a sledgehammer, come one where is the parents, man another problem which parents are failing at. Why have kids if your not going to teach them anything.

It doesn't necessarily mean the parents aren't doing a good job in teaching their kids right and wrong. Other things come into play such as peer pressure, influence from society, etc. There's only so much a parent can do. People aren't robots that are programmed something and never do the opposite. Everyone has their own thoughts and can act freely on their own accord.

But even so its the parents responsibility to teach them right and wrong, i haven't stolen anything thats cause i was taught not to. Even if they have a free will they should still know what to do, and what not.

Well, some people can't resist waiting for a console/game/product. So they steal from other people.

However, stealing is a bad thing. However, its not learned by there parents or anyone. Its stress and impatience in a mix that causes you to steal.

I've been wondering if I should move my Wii to a more secure location. With lockable doors and such.

Just put it up really high where kids can't reach it.

Anyways, it's a shame that at this young age are already stealing and not just pocket change, they're breaking and entering as well as stealing valuable items. Not good. I wonder if the 15 year old motivated them?
