Nintendo 3DS meets Nintendo's expectations and hits the four million mark. Super Mario Land 3D and Mario Kart 7 both hit over the million mark. The Nintendo 3DS has now almost doubled the first year sales of the Nintendo DS.

    Nice to see things slowly turning around for Nintendo and the 3DS. Hopefully 2012 will be a better year for them and the 3DS continues to sell well and they release more quality games.

    I got Mario Kart 7 after going on and on about it. Definitely not surprised to see it hit high sales, especially when releasing near Christmas while the 3DS library is still small.

      I can even see it being one of those games that you need to have on the 3DS. Even years on down the road like Mario Kart Wii. Iirc MKWii is still one Wii game that sells a fair chunk of copies every month.
