A new batch of trademarks give us clues as to what Nintendo may have in development. Among them are "Mii Contest Channel", "Chech Mii Out Channel", "Wii Body Controller", "Mii Audition", and most importantly the renewal of the Pikmin trademark.

Nintendo has registered half a dozen new trademarks recently, and each provides a hint of what the company might have brewing at its Kyoto headquarters.

For example, 'Mii Contest Channel' might be the final name of the company's previously announced 'Check Mii Out Channel', 'Wii Body Controller' could be the final name for its Balance Board - or the name of a completely new controller - and 'Mii Audition' might be a totally new Channel altogether.

The Pikmin trademark has been renewed, which is sure to fuel speculation that a new installment in the franchise is on the way to Wii or DS. 'Nintendo Magic' is assumed to be the Western name of a Japanese DS game, while both 'Wii Handle' and 'Soma Bringer' are mysteries.

Pikmin you say? I was quite annoyed that we haven't heard of anything about Pikmin at any of the recent gameshow.

If they retooled it, it might be a good DS game...

A Pikmin sequel on the Wii would be glorious. This pretty much spills the beans.
