I was reading the recent Game File on MTV's website and I started to get quite irritated that Factor 5 was playing the Blame Game with their critically panned title, Lair. I decided that I had more than a few words to say about this, especially for a team that has hyped their title for many months now.

Lair has not come out yet for the PS3, but this hotly anticipated game has already be destroyed by most reviewers. Now the development team has come out of their development foxhole, not to necessarily defend their game, but to start pointing fingers and casting blame. The interview they had on MTV's Game File was eye opening to say the least.

Yeah but a lot of the people who played the game said they loved it. So maybe it really wasn't factor 5 fault.

It could cause a problem for them. Since LAIR was given horrible reviews on another console. It might not sell on the PS3, due to its horrible reviews.

However, if they can update the game and make it better. It could make some gamers to give it another try and buy it.

I've never seen a game reviewed a second time after a game-changing update, but I'd love for that to start now.

Let's see Factor 5 make a FREE update to Lair that gives it a better lock-on mechanism, the option for analog stick control, improved SIXAXIS controls, or the ability to tweak said controls and then have these reviewers re-review it.

It would only make sense to re-review it, especially if they changed the mechanics so drastically, because they all basically said it was a decent game just that the controls broke it.

Well in another article it states that some of the people who said the controls suck never really understood how to use it. And never actually took the time to get used to it. So that point is mute for me.

Some pretty bad excuses there, why can't they justa dmit the game has issues. They blame reviewers for not liking motion sensing controls but I didn't see games like Zelda and Metroid on the wii getting low scores for their motion sensing controls.

Eh, like linkin park fan said, its actually getting decent reviews from regular gamers...

While I definitely agree that they should have at least kept the option to use analog sticks to control the dragon, its really pretty much reviewers that have a hard time adapting to the motion sensor control scheme...

I wonder if a patch will allow them to unlock analog stick control?
