After running a contest where visitors cook up and choose a title for the sequel to the well-received suspense-filled shooter, F.E.A.R., Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment confirms that fans have selected "Project Origin" as the official name of the game. Project Origin has no solid release timeframe, but it is still in the works at Monolith Productions for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC game platforms.

The fans have named the sequel to Monolith's hit game F.E.A.R.! Monolith Productions will develop the sequel to F.E.A.R. under the new title, Project Origin. Project Origin will be available for the Xbox 360™, PLAYSTATION ® 3 and PC. The name was decided upon by the fans as they submitted entries and voted for the winning name submission. "Our team really enjoyed letting the fans drive the naming process, and we are excited to expand upon the work we began in the original game and establish Project Origin as a premier gaming franchise in its own right," said Troy Skinner, Producer, Monolith Productions.

All the names were pretty bad though this means the product has to be insanely good to make up for the crappy name.

About 95% of the names that I read up were so shitty that they were hilarious, Monolith would agree as well, they posted them all...dumbass people kept putting in idiotic song titles and all that nonsense.

I guess it's okay. Still, I think they could've came up with something better.

Project Origin was the name of the experiment done on the Antagonist of the game, "Alma".
