One of the Playstation Vita's most anticipated titles Gravity Daze -- Gravity Rush in North America -- has received a score of 38/40 in Weekly Famitsu magazine. This makes Gravity Daze the highest scoring Playstation Vita game in the magazine so far. Famitsu is Japan's premier video game magazine and when a game is scored so high by the magazine, it usually goes on to become a classic on the system it is released for. A score of 38/40 is not common from the magazine and is considered to be rather high. Since it was first published back in June 1986, the magazine has given eighteen perfect 40/40 reviews and 31 near-perfect 39/40 reviews. This high score may lead to increased sales of the Playstation Vita in Japan, or at the very least breathe new life into the handheld. So far the handheld has not performed well in the country, even being outsold by the PSP at times.
If a score in Weekly Famitsu is anything to go by, one of the Playstation Vita's most anticipated upcoming releases just may be the best yet for Sony's latest handheld. Known as Gravity Rush outside of Japan, the game scored 10, 9, 9, and 10, resulting in a final score of 38/40 in the magazine. Such high scores are not very common for the magazine, which tends to favour popular game series such as Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid over newer IPs.
