Meet The Person Who's Beaten Halo 3

Wouldn't so much weight be put on your shoulders if you played and beat one of the most hyped up games of the year before anyone else? Well that's what Francesca Reyes, Editor-in-Chief of Official Xbox Magazine is doing. She is the first person to play, beat and review(for 10 pages!) Halo 3 for the Xbox 360. You can read her 10 page review in the magazine which will be available on September 25th, the same date that the game is released. Meanwhile, occupy yourself with the interview at the source.

But the real reason we get into this business, of course, is to play all the games. Better yet? Experiencing them days, weeks, maybe even months before anyone else. And best of all? Knowing you're the first person to play something PERIOD.

      No Volacide if you read she was was actually happy about the game, and thought it was very good. Of course she can't say anything about the game you can kinda get her answer about it.

      Also according to her Halo 3 isn't like halo 2 but isn't too different. Meaning Its better than halo 2 and its not too different from the Halo series, Its a halo game.

      And from her Im kinda relieved about what to expect from this game, definitely a game to get along side with 360 one day, since that game would be my only reason for getting 360.
      So now i can say thats its going to be a good game for sure.

        So because an employee, no, the Editor-In-Chief at Official XBOX Magazine says the game is good, you too can say that the game is good for sure. I just want to be sure I follow you. Matter of fact, lets scratch all that. If you ran into John Anyman on the street and he told you Halo 3 was the greatest game ever, would you still be a sheep?

          No cause one person's word isn't good enough, She actually played it and beaten it. There is a difference in your theory.

          Its like this would you believe someone that said(if you haven't played it) bioshock sucked if they never played it b4, to someone who has and said it was good. See Thats the problem with some reviews, most don't even play it, and make biased review.

          Experience is everything.

          I do want Halo 3 to be good, but I still think it won't be. I mean if every game were awesome then that would kick ass and I wouldn't have anything to complain about.

          I still don't think it'll be any good though... history repeats itself.

    I agree with Finalblade, she was happy with it. But the mistake your makig is nit understanding that her awkward smile is from, well to put it properly, this:

    GamesRadar: How difficult has it been to stay quiet? Are people bugging you for information? Besides us?

    Fran: Hella hard. You want to really go into detail and tell people everything you saw and played, but you can't. I mean, because of the nature of how we do the magazine, we have to share information among the OXM staff - but other than that, mum's the word, really.

    Obviously if she said the game was bad you'd be hearing something like this on the news

    "Francesca Reyes, Editor-in-Chief of Official Xbox Magazine was murdered earlier this morning, apparently Fran had just recently given Halo 3 a bad preview and witnesses say they saw Bill Gates speeding away from the scene in his tricked out Limo. Police after a long a interview with Mr Gates have released that they believe Sony are behind the attack. On a side note all police involved in the investigation have retired and moved to Condo's in the Carribean all supplied by Microsoft. This news is believed to be unrelated"

    Really, she's just advertising the game so that gamers would by there products. Its called business.

    Heh heh, the editor-in-chief of an Xbox magazine, did I get that right?

    If I did, I can say this... tihs is an XBox game; I presume they get at least a bit of cash from sales.

    Being in her position, she probably has to say it's good or it'll upset fans/Microsoft/gamers, etc. If she says it's bad, Halo fans are not going to be happy with her, even if it's the games fault. They'll(Halo fans) are obviously going to be saying that Halo 3 is going to be good, even though it might dissapoint.

    How do you exactly know she beat it First? I mean, hundreds of people could have already beaten it before it came out. Think about it. All the people that pirated halo 3 probably beat it first, then slammed into jail.

      they cant pirate a game before its released, they can pirate the beta, but thats usually free.

      Not to mention if they did you might need a modded 360 to play it.
      And didn't we already see what happens when you play pirated games, yeah banned from XBL until 9999.

    finalblade, obviously I meant that John Anyman hypothetically played the game too. I just used a generic name as an example. My point was that you said you're sure it will be a good game, based on what someone has else has said. Forget the entire fact that she works for XBOX magazine. You said experience is everything, yet YOU haven't experienced it.

        What are they teaching in reading comprehension in grade school these days? We are speaking as if everyone has played the game. Got that much? She said the game is good, so now you are sure that the game is good. Using this logic, if she said the game sucked, then you would also be a puppet and feel confident that the game sucks. And you're still ignoring the fact that she works for XBOX magazine lol. Its like I'm typing in hieroglyphics every time I converse with you.
