Zelda Crossbow Game Used To Show Off Wii Zapper?

black doom | September 10, 2007 | News | Wii
Nintendo is arranging some form of Zapper demo using a Zelda mini-game called Zelda Crossbow Training. Could this be the Zelda that was said to be in the works, and is this one game or is it going to be a mini-game collection? Believed to use the Twilight Princess engine, the demo was shown off to GameStop managers in Las Vegas today.
Nintendo will show off the capabilities of its new Wii Zapper peripheral with a new game called Zelda Crossbow Training, according to reports.

Apparently shown to GameStop managers in a presentation in Las Vegas today, Zelda Crossbow Training is a simple, third-person target shooting game believed to be using the Twilight Princess engine.

It is yet to be confirmed if this is the pack-in game Nintendo promised would show off the abilities of the new peripheral as Wii Play did the Wii Remote. It could be one mini-game in a compilation of many.

Check back throughout the day for updates.

My guess is a pack-in demo.

Then again Nintendo does a rather expert job of proving my guesses wrong.

Nintendo announced today that the Wii Zapper™ interface for the hit Wii™ home video game system will come packed with Link’s Crossbow Training™.
You're right, it is a pack-in. It wouldn't make sense to sell it individually, really. Since the Zapper was going to be $20 anyway, it's nice to see a free game come with it. Oh, and the link is also official confirmation.

This is interesting. Not groundbreaking, but interesting. According to another story/leak earlier today, it has enhanced graphics using the Twilight Princess engine. I'm curious in seeing what Twilight Princess for the Wii could have looked like. It was a superb game regardless of that, but it can't stop me from wondering...

I really don't want a Zelda FPS to be the next epic title that I'm waiting so desperately for.
