Sonic the Hedgehog 2 hitting Live Arcade Wednesday

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will be released on the Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday. It will cost 400 Points. Now we need Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and a Sonic & Knuckles download!

Wii owners get Sonic the Hedgehog 3 today, and Xbox 360 owners will be just one game behind come this Wednesday. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has been marked as the official title being released this week, and will cost 400 Points. Hopefully Co-op will work out smoothly online, and maybe one day we’ll be able to play Knuckles on it…? Check back Wednesday for more information.

    Finally!

    I doubt we'll be seeing Sonic 3 hit XBLA anytime soon though, All the Sega titles released lately seem to be the same titles released on the Sega Megadrive Collection for PS2. I hope I'm wrong though and we get it in the near future.

    Well i hope the PSN will get the sonic 3 and S&KN. One of my favorite games ever. Sonic 2 was good, the first one was interesting.

    Much rather would have had Sonic 3, but the wack ass Wii got it. I swear if the Wii gets GoldenEye, I'm not downloading any more arcade games...after Street Fighter II.

      The XBLA will get Sonic 3, just not for a while...but I understand your point.

    Sonic 2 wasn't that bad, it was certainly the longer of the series. If anything maybe XBLA is going to do the collection pack instead of just Sonic 3, that would be the ideal, nothing like Hyper Sonic and Hyper Knuckles, or the oddball Super Tails... ugh I never got the intimidation factor from that one...

      I loved that upgrade Sonic was all glowing with coolness. Also how come Tails could only go to that with the super emeralds and regular ones. Thats what i don't get.

        That really escapes everyone, in 3 you got all the emeralds with Tails and it was just a lame excuse to go "yay you managed to do it, er congrats here's... a cheap ending"

        I'd love to see it on either console though 3 + S&K was an awesome combo, I still have the one that Sega sold ages ago for the PC.
