Halo 3 seen on eBay!

Raven005 | September 11, 2007 | News | Game Boy Advance
We heard the rumor and did not think it could be true. So we went and investigated it ourselves finding out that it was. A person somehow got a hold of a copy of Halo 3 and sold it early on eBay.
One lucky eBay buyer is now the proud owner of a PAL copy of Halo 3, after two leaked copies found their way onto the internet auction site.

The Australian seller, who some how had to obtaine the game from a warehouse or shop stock room, took pictures of the open boxes and the disc to verify that is was the real deal, before putting the items on eBay.

He only asked a low fee of $149 Australian (£60) or roughly $120 American, because we’re sure some Halofanatic fans out there would have paid hundreds for this copy.

$120 is way too much for Halo 3 even if you get it earlier than everyone else.

Hello the legendary version is $120 so whats your point. People will buy it regardless. Did you know someone bought a PS3 on ebay when it came out for $40,000 so yeah people will buy it if they have the money.

Too much money for a single video game, no matter how good the game is.

I would have, just to get it early and brag to everyone. And to get an early review out...

    And subsequently be sued.

Woulda pushed for more. $150 AUD is only $30 AUD more than the premium price for 'next-gen' games, and as stated in the article, it could've been pushed up way higher.

If I was on the buyers, side, I wouldn't pay that much just to get it a couple weeks before everyone else, but on the sellers side, I'd try and get at least $200 out of it.

I wouldn't pay THAT much extra to get the video game early, especially when they could wait a couple weeks and get it a lot earlier. But then again, owning a copy earlier than the release gives you major bragging rights... So I would consider it if I was rich.
