Spore let downs no more; Release Date set?

It looks like Spore has an actual release date, now. According to one very large online retailer known as Amazon you can now preorder your copy of Spore. With a price listed as $49.99 and a boxshot to go with it. Amazon is giving it a release date of March 03, 2008.

    Nope, it got pushed back a couple times then there was talks of dropping the game and now it's resurrected again. Although, I'm not too trusting of Amazons dates...it's best to go off of an official word by EA.

    Is there any official place where it says it was dropped? I hope not.

    Either way, I hope this is a good estimate of the release date.

    I am hoping the Wii receives a copy of this game. I looked into it briefly and it would be nice. It is possible after-all.
