People have discovered a "subliminal message" on the American Super Mario Galaxy box art telling buyers, through the use of sparkles on the letters in the title, that U R MR GAY.

Notice the white sparkles on the corners of some of the letters, they spell out U R MR GAY. Could this possibly be an accident, or did some Xbox Live kid do the boxart design? Great lookin boxart even if it does make you MR GAY

Lol it was probably just an accident. Nintendo wouldn't call their customers gay, now would they?

    Wait would they?

They've been denying it for years, but when you put things together like Link taking his shirt off in Twilight Princess and Luigi's just plain queerness you start to see a pattern

Wow, I'd really like to know if this is fake or not. Could be a mistake or just a fluke or Nintendo could be insulting us.

Doesn't anyone remember the 'spastic' thing that only happened two or so months ago?

    Coincidences? Maybe not.

      Dio Sep 16, 07
Spastic doesn't mean anything offense in North America, though. Only in Europe.

Heh, this article is pretty funny. But it's probably only a coincidence.

Very interesting catch. It’s amazing that no matter what it is, you can always count on someone to turn it into a dirty joke on the internet.

I'm thinking it was probably a fluke, but that's genius.

Nope not fake. Official Box art. Look at every box art and it's that same message. Even on Nintendo.COM

Wow. Nintendo should hope this is an accident or we'll have some angry Mario Bros. fans. And Nintendo will be the ones saying "Mamma Mia".

I heard this was on purpose.

Took me a while before I saw it.... Wow. Who took the time to see that?

I don't think it was on purpose though. If you look at the sparkles, they cover every column so it may have just been to even it out and not draw attention to one side of the title moer then the other....

Some letters have sparkles attached to their corners. The letters 'u', and 'r' (in 'Super), 'm', 'r' and (in 'Mario), 'g', 'a', and 'y'(in Galaxy), in that order.

Wow, that is funny. I honestly think it was a mistake though. I doubt Nintendo would ever do something like that. But no matter what though, this game will still rock, no matter what the stars tell us.

Honestly, a popular game? It couldn't be a random mistake.

Probably an inside joke from some very humorous box-art makers.
