Playstation 3 games will overcome Xbox 360 games

xsynergyx | September 17, 2007 | News | Playstation 3 XBOX 360 Company
The key to the Xbox 360 vs. Playstation 3 war is the RAM and the processor. An unnamed developer talked to GAMER.BLORGE and said that the Xbox 360 is much easier to work with since the model is older, thus, giving it more RAM so they don't have to worry about running out of memory. However, the PS3 has an advanced processor, therefore, as the PS3 lives on, the games on the PS3 won't be able to be copied over to the Xbox 360. In time, the PS3 will win this part of the war and the Xbox 360 could very well be zoned out, but for now, the Xbox 360 is the easier system.
Where the real problem stem is in the two system's processors. While Xbox games can be tweaked to move up to the PS3, the reverse is not always the case. Due to the PS3's advanced processor, games developed for the Sony backed platform sometimes can't be downgraded to the the 360's chip.

It seems like every day we get another article just like this.
If you people don't know this by now let me sum it up in one easy to remember sentence.

The 360 is easier to develop for but the PS3 has the capability to produce more astonishing results.

It's the simple honest truth. It doesn't make either console better than the other, just different than the other.

Yea, I think this whole "debate" has been recycled enough by now; both systems have been out long enough. The 360 and the PS3 are both obviously very powerful consoles, actually the most powerful gaming systems we have ever seen. However, its also obvious that the PS3 has more potential under the hood, than the 360. Its just up to the developers (and Sony) to reach that high bar.

The Xbox was more powerful than the PS2, but who won that war.
This won't have anything to do with it..

Yeah they won that war cause of games, and PS3 will have more games in the future. So in my honest opinion(take it as you will) Sony is going to win in the end. Hell Wii is going to beat 360 as well.

Illmatic 360 has been out for 2 while PS3 10 months i think 360 has the time advantage, but right now the PS3 games will start to shine.

Actually what bunnyburn said was xbox was more powerful than PS2, which one won that war, I stated PS2....duh. Also I believe she was referring to Power means shit when we are talking about consoles, hence last gen. And her statement. She probably doesn't with her huge hatred towards Sony.

Which is what the Xbox was lacking in the first place.

The gap between the PS2 and Xbox wasn't that noticeable though, this time with the 360 and PS3 it is

The PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 were very powerful consoles, but in the end, the PlayStation 3 is much better than the Xbox 360.

Were? I suggest you use present tense. They are powerful consoles.

From a hardware point of view YES god damn it the PS3 is better. It had a whole YEAR to improve on the 360. It is much like the PS2 and Xbox with the last gen war. I mean the later console will always be the best machine. And the PS3 has got off to a rocky start but I am sure it can bring good games to the table and maybe eventually leave the 360 behind. It's likely. And when/if that happens then I'll go out and buy a PS3.

And SilverMirror you fool. The Xbox was a very noticable leap from PS2 in terms of graphics. Halo 2 looks twice as good as the majority of stuff on PS2. And right now the difference between 360 and PS3 is solely lighting effects. Graphics themselves are pretty much identical for multiplatform games.

And in all fairness the PS2 kicked Xbox's ass. Sony sold more consoles in America than Microsoft did worldwide. But the Xbox was still a better machine.

The 360 had a huge advantage over there system rivals. So they didn't much work on there system much. Unlike the PS3 and Wii, they spent time working on its hardware, and now they are starting to bring out the big games.

The 360's future in 2008 and the years to come seem lacking in games. The Wii's and PS3's are gonna dominate in the next years. Hell even this year.

    Ugh, nobody listens to me.

I said that the Xbox was stronger, but the stronger console didn't win that war. I said that the PS2 won, despite being weaker. Learn to read between the lines a bit.

Also, I don't have a hatred towards Sony. I have a hatred to the Ps3. The PS2 was epic, as was the Ps1, but the Ps3 just hasn't done anything to impress me yet, other than get cut in half by chainsaws (even though that was fake, still made me giddy) get smashed, etc.

I suppose you got my point.

Not to mention you openly confessed yourself to be a Sony hater in another article comment...NOICE!

And obviously you don't own a PS3, 'cause to say something that *bleep*ing stupid at this time and day...jeezus...

Hmm do i smell hypocrisy......i think i do. Besides we all know she hates sony, just like Cdemon which likes to be a hypocrite himself once in awhile.

See when you have a PS3 system people will understand alot about the system. And think otherwise. Im already impressed about the PS3, and now since there game drought is pretty much over the PS3 will start it kick it into over-drive, and get back into this war. Its going to be an interesting end of 07 and start of 08.

The idea that games will stop being developed for one platform or the other is really sad and it demonstrates how little these people know about companies.

Look at EA in this generation and last generation. Pump out a generic base, wrap it for the PC, Xbox, PS2 or Gamecube or all of them if they want.

Sure you have exclusives, but that simply means one thing, it was never going to the other console to begin with.

VeG is right. They're not going to make completely different versions of games to release them cross-platform. It's just not cost efficient, so the point is kind of moot. Can the developers make a more powerful game on the PS3? Yes. It's been said over and over again. Does it mean that third party developers are going to do it? No. Granted, I'm not saying they won't, but this something more of an advantage to first party software than anything else.

It comes down to first party titles. Nintendo has them but thats all they've got. PS2 had them but a lot have become same day releases for 360 as well. Really it's Mario&Metroid vs. Halo 3&Mass Effect/Fable 2 vs. MGS4 and probably Final Fantasy 13 whenever that comes out.
