A recent study by Economist shows that women need to start gaming to catch up to the advantages that men have over them. Tests were done and men and women played a game called "Odd Man Out" where you use your common sense to point something out that is different between about a dozen objects. The women didn't do particularly good. Then, the women were forced to play 10 hours of Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault over a five month period and suddenly, the women did as good as the men. So now you know, all you ladies out there...get on gaming!
That has several implications. One is that playing violent computer games can have beneficial effects. Another is that the games might provide a way of rapidly improving spatial ability in people such as drivers and soldiers. And a third is that although genes are important, upbringing matters, too.

Other games are good for other sorts of awareness and skills. Some can stimulate your mathematical prowess, your artistic visual compositional awareness, your compassion (or indifference), environmental awareness, etc.
games are just interactive media, tools that engage its viewer. And this may involve entertainment, just as well as skill development, athletic training, military training, education, what have you.
Also the reason why some women don't like videogames is cause they feel(sometimes) its for kids and adults should do adult things.
Also personally i think girls who likes games like men is very cool, but they shouldn't have to play games cause of articles like this that proves nothing. Besides those tests aren't the majority of women anyway.
