  It's shipped 11.6 million. But that doesn't mean that the 11.6 million has been sold from the suppliers. I thought around 9 million consoles were actually sold.

  Anyway kazooieman companies do not have to tell people how well other companies are doing. Nintendo seem to conveniently forget to mention that the the Wii is no longer outselling the PS3 by more than 2 to 1 but does anyone make a big deal over it? No, Microsoft have not lied or done anything wrong so stop attacking them

    Besides, the actual title of the article itself is rather redundant seeing as how no one considers the Wii in the console race anymore.

      I beg to differ Tenken, they may not be competing against ps3 or 360 but clearly they are still apart of the console war. So its not redundant.

  Not particularly, people tend to consider the Wii a next-gen boardgame since most of it's titles are family oriented or similar. It has very very few titles that could be called console gaming.
  
  Also, just because Microsoft has taken longer to sell more does not mean that they're not doing well. With LIVE Subscriptions and the fact that they had the sense to take advantage of an early release shows they're doing fine.

  Microsoft is still doing pretty damn good for itself in the console wars, and it definatly has the best lineup on any system out of the three. Let them flaunt.

    *cough* headstart... it is actually doing the worst out of all the consoles, they have shipped 11.6 million but they have only sold about 9 million, the PS3 has shipped about 10 million and sold 5 million in half the time...

  They have got to stop talking about how many consoles they sold or what the stats are and focus on more important matters, like what they'll have to offer us in the upcoming year or two.
