One of these days, this kid could be sitting on a good bit of money if he keeps his Halo 3 disc in good condition, especially when it's not every day that Bill Gates personally distributes a copy of an XBOX 360 game, but then again it's not every day that Halo 3 gets released, either.

Microsoft founder and chairman Bill Gates carded the first guy in a retail line to buy Halo 3.

Himself. Personally.

As reported by Reuters, Gates was on hand at a midnight launch event at a Best Buy near Microsoft HQ in Redmond, Washington:

Gates personally sold and autographed the first copy to Ritesh David, a 17-year-old who was stunned to find himself being served by the richest man in America.

    Dude think if he keeps it and doesn't open it it will be worth even more than that. I would go chip the money for another one and keep that one locked up.
