Well another rumor has arisen to say MS Xbox 360 Core will be discontinued. And its from Gamestop, which an email was sent to all employees to pull every 360 core off the shelves. And is going to be replaced with another type of core system that has 512 Memory Card and wireless controllers.

GameStop should just go ahead and put our tips email in their distribution list, because as soon as something interesting pops up on their POS system, we get a good four or five emails regarding it. The latest? Apparently an email has come down informing store managers to pull down any signage regarding the Xbox 360 core system, because once their current stock is gone there isn't going to be anymore. Seems like stores are preparing for the rumored new Core system, that comes with the 256MB memory card and wireless controllers. There are rumors upon rumors, but this one rings true.

I wouldn't mind the core being killed off, especially if it means an eventual price drop for the Premium or Elite. Without a hard drive, the core is extremely lacking. If I'm not mistaken, you can't even play online without one anymore, right? The Premium is so much better and not much more expensive, so I think this is for the better.

I wouldn't really care if they stopped making Cores. The main reason I might see someone getting a Core would be if their old Premiunum was out of warranty and broke, so they needed a new system that they could use their old hard drive on.

It's too late, the damage has been done. Microsoft *bleep*ed up by not including a HDD in every console.

No one seems to learn that consumers dont like being short-changed. If there's a weaker product, and a fully featured option, everyone; unless it's due to low stock levels, will want to go with the top of the range. At least; unlike the PS3, a core can be turned into a premium if you buy the add-ons.

Meh the core was pretty useless anyways, >>. The new one I guess is interesting but still as useless.
