Check out the latest interview with Pipeworks, the developers of Godzilla Unleashed. The interview includes 3 brand new screenshots and explains the game mechanics and controller scheme and how close it is to completion!

What are the biggest challenges in trying to make an older but spectacular franchise like Godzilla appeal to the current younger generation of gamers today? What is Pipeworks doing to appeal to a broader audience than just Godzilla fans?

Godzilla is still one of the most widely recognized characters in the world, especially in America. References to the Big-G turn up everywhere in our pop culture and media, ranging from T-shirts, to TV ads, to random jokes on the news. I just saw a Jeep commercial on TV the other day featuring a shot of Godzilla rising above a mountain range taken from one of the old school black and white films. So for us, the challenge was simply to make sure that the gameplay in GU matched the fun and excitement that has been portrayed in the films for over 50 years. It’s really all about staying true to the source.

Godzilla? Haven't seen that type of game in a looong time. It looks like a good game, but I just hope it's not another Rampage game. =/

Wow, thats really good graphics! And that is for the DS!!! I am thinking about adding this game to my wish list. But, both pictures are for the wii, so the graphics are maybe not that good for the Nintendo DS.
