Games We Love but Wish We Could Love Playing

With the holiday season coming in fast, Sony has decided to take some action on their Playstation 3's and lower the price to 400 euros which is a drop of 200 euros. Sony is hoping to sell 500,000 units by the end of 2007 and by the end of March 2008(analysts say), the Playstation 3 could triple in sales, going from the 5.5 million currently to 16.5 million. Can they do it? It's hard to say so soon, but maybe Sony will get lucky this time around.
According to our information, the Japanese giant should announce this fall of spectacular price tomorrow at the time of a press conference. The new product will be available later one week, about on October 13. Questioned yesterday about this next fall of price, Sony still made mine contradict. But, according to several sources of the sector, it seems well that the launching of this PS3 to 400 euros is indeed acquired.

Again, though, 11,000,000 in just six months is way too high. It's difficult to pull off for any company, let alone Sony in a tough period. The only consoles I've seen that were able to do something similar were already well-established consoles that were already selling extremely well (such as the PS2 and DS). Besides, if the Wii (which is relatively easy to produce in comparison) can't be produced nearly that fast, I don't think the PS3 could be, either.
In short, I don't think the PS3 (or any other home console) will be able to pull off so many sales in the next six months. Possibly, just possibly the DS will be able to, but otherwise I find it doubtful.
Thats bought me !
