Hirai, President of SCEI talks about Blu-ray and how it was the best decision Sony made with the PS3. Also he goes further to talk about the PSN and how Sony has a full service planned, where gamers can download full movies, tv shows, and games.

“I think its success as a delivery vehicle for games has already been proven. As for movies, I think it (is) really hard for any studio or retailer to ignore the fact that there are already millions of Blu-ray players in the world in the form of PS3. That is the kind of installed base DVD only dreamed of when it launched and before we debuted PlayStation 2.”

"where gamers can download full movies, tv shows, and games" There's going to be alot of Liscensing issues with downloading full movies and tv shows... What if a company didn't want to allow Sony to play their movies?

And with downloading games; whats to download? Flash games on the internet because it probobly would be restricted to them and sonys games (which i highly doubt that because Sony are cheapos and will make you buy your games instores )

See, right there is why you should stay the *bleep* away from any other PS3 article. If you would stop talking crap and RESEARCH what you're about to say, you'd know that the PSN already HAS games as it is...and let's face it...what console DOESN'T charge for games? >_>

They would have to get the companies permission of course. And I reckon many would leap on the chance, after all who's going to turn down opening up there product to a whole new market?

Fox... Lucas Films and some other companies aswell! In an interview about Lucas Films being able to put their Star Wars movies on game consoles or other means they said "they wouldn't allow them and to just buy the movie instores and watch it at yourown leisure..."

It could have been interesting watching Star Wars on a PS3!

Bu thats a whole different thing, sony also work with Music players and Tvs and such so all the movies can be watched on them but not on the console!

kazooieman every statement you make shows your lack of knowledge to a greater extent. sony publishes movies giving them distribution rights, they produce and design the tvs and music player on their own as a brand, but that does not give them rights to the music they play. as well as the movies or television shows shown on the tvs of their brand. now onto games sony have been releasing games over psn for some time now like xbl has with the marketplace and they are not flash games. before you think of something, just stop, think harder, go get an ice pack to cool your head of the exhaustion its been through and just go cry. seeing as how the wail of your crying is probably more of an intellectual statement than the crap you post.

Blue Ray makes the graphics of the games a lot better in my opinion. Compared to the Ps2 the Ps3 graphics are about 4x better then the Ps2. I like the thing of blue ray so it is like high definition.
