  That's what i concluded after seeing the actual article at playstation blog site. But nonetheless, whatecer the new franchise will be, i bet it'll rock.

  When i saw the title to this article i though Grand Theft Auto on Wii, WTF! But when i read the actual article my mind sorta slipped away... i don't care if Rockstar not make the game Ps3 exclusive, iv think the Ps2 deserves it aswell seeing as how much a PS3 is!

    Seriously, if they made a PS2 version, they'd have to seriously dumb it down...And as a result, the PS3 and 360 versions would likely suffer a fair bit as a result...
    
    Either get a new generation system, or be quiet about it...
    
    And I was wondering why they'd let the next GTA be exclusive to one console? Thats a lot of sales lost...Not to mention, I thought they said the were done with the GTA series anyhow (though they are perfectly allowed to change their minds)

      Not everyone can afford a next gen system. It must be nice to have mommy and daddy buy everything for their kids. In the real world, however, hardworking people have to pay other things and a $400+ console(s) isn't always viable.
      
      Once you move out and if you don't rely on your parents you'll see what I mean. Try paying bills, rent, food, transportation fees, etc.
      
      Having support for older consoles isn't a bad thing. If you're talking about the next gen versions "suffering" it's only because of the graphics. If graphics mean more to you than game play well...I can safely assume you didn't come from the 8bit generation of gamers. (:

    Not PS3 exclusive just means that 360 will also get the game not PS2.If your lucky you'll get a San Andreas Stories game for the PS2 but other than that you'll never see a PS2 GTA again.

      If you can't afford to game you can't afford to game. You shouldn't complain when next-gen consoles get all the games. It's inevitable. The PS3 has been coming for years. Since last year. Okami and God of War 2 have been worth buying. Nothing else really...could have saved up that whole time. The fact they didn't is not my problem I don't want the quality of my games to lower because of something like that.

  I don't think Microsoft will just sit by as Sony drops the price of the PS3 at an abismal rate. If Microsoft need to they will reduce the price of the console. But there will have to be some point where both slow down otherwise they may no profit much.

  Yeah, I have all those games on the list except the gta 2. All the games are great, but I hate the ones that are overhead view where you can't see in front of you or the guys face. Well, Xbox GTA is most likely going to have more sales then the Ps3, because more people have the Xbox 360.

  I would go with it being untrue because the reasons above are believable and completely prove the HDgaming article wrong. They took the exact words from a Playstation.blog.
