Sony Making a Silver 40 GB PS3?

Sony just recently announced the new 40Gb package for the Playstation 3. This package will deduct backwards compatibility of Playstation 2 games and the obvious 20Gb from the hard drive. Although surprisingly Sony told PS3Now! that the 40Gb PS3 will be in Satin Silver.

Sony today revealed their upcoming 40GB Sony Playstation 3. Unfortunately this new model will not be backward compatible, meaning it won’t support any PlayStation 2 titles. It will feature 2 usb ports and no multimedia card reader. However it seems that Sony possibly forgot to mention one "new" feature ...

    I like the silver, but I like black better because it is classic. It will also be compatable to the Play Station 2 Games. I don't know if the original PS3 was compatable with PS2 Games.

      Read the post W00tbeer1, it says it WON'T be compatible with PS2 games, UNLIKE the regular version.

      And DEZVOUS, I think he was referring to the original PS3, not the PS1.

    This one looks more futuristic though. But the black still is better imo.

    I imagine the 160GB version (if there is indeed going to be one) is going to be white.

    Oh my god, no one can ever by a PS3 because the models are changing all the time, and you never know what will come out next. Some people may want this, but then if a 160GB model comes out, they may decide they want that, and BLAH, it's just too many damn choices.

    Ohh, silver looks smexy, I like how they're making it for the PS3 as well the Ps2 silver version looked really nice, new colors always make the system look better then it is xD.
