Sony has officially announced that they will be phasing out the 60GB PS3's to make room from the new 40GB bundles. How will Europe respond? Only time will tell.

Why? They're just going to bring in PS3 with bigger harddrives (80GB?) for the same price. Correct me there if I'm wrong.

This will surely piss off some people who want BC with their PS3. Seems a bit of a pointless thing to do. Might as well keep it there.

Why bother? They should just offer a range of different sizes rather than just the one. That way people would only have to pay for what they want/need.

Nice, I guess this is a good idea =s, as the price will be going down, and I doubt they were getting many sales with the 60GB, let's hope this little idea helps out Sony.

OKAY. I just read Kazooieman's comment, and wtf same price? This idea sucks.
