Even after Electronic Arts purchases the studio Bioware, Mass Effect still remains a Xbox 360 exclusive. Bioware staff say that they have no plans on releasing Mass Effect on the Playstation 3 and are focussing right now on creating a great game on the Xbox 360 system. Although Greg Zechuk says "Bioware cannot predict the future."

BIZ: So you wouldn't rule out the possibility of it appearing on PS3?

Muzyka: We have no plans currently to pursue that. Our focus is pure and simple; it's to deliver the best game possible for our fans with Mass Effect, and that's an Xbox 360 exclusive. Microsoft's a great partner... and they've really helped build the value of the product and we're proud to work with them.

I'm not really surprised about this. They already planned Mass Effect on being exclusive just for the Xbox360.

Well, it is up to EA now, at least in part...

But yeah, they spent all this time developing a 360 exclusive, I doubt they could make a PS3 version very soon...

Most likely (if at all), the sequels (this is supposed to be a trilogy) will end up on the PS3 as well (I'm pretty sure each will be a standalone game, just in the same universe...thats my guess anyhow)...

I'm not going to say anything like "Yes!" But it sucks for the PS3 owners.

Two Words... "Final Fantasy", who needs some new space age fantasy shit when Sony already has the best of the best on their system.

Why is it good? How does marketing a game to a wider audience count as joining Sony?

As others have said this isn't really unexecpted as they are almost done and a port could take another year. I doubt the sequals will come out either for PS3 because no one would know what the hell is going to since they don't own 360's

This is why I didn't like seeing EA purchase Bioware.

All this time developing for 360. And EA dude says "They can't predict the future." gah.
