Ubisoft gets the best known composer in the industry to score the tunes for Assassin's Creed - Jesper Kyd. The man has also scored the award-winning soundtrack for Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.

Kyd has brought home a British Academy Award and is no stranger to video game tunes - the man is responsible for the music in games like Kane & Lynch, Unreal Tournament III, the Hitman series, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, just to name a few.

I thought that the best known composer in the industry would of been Nobuo Uematsu :0 but, that's just me.

Ditto lol I only know the names of less than a handful of game composers...

      Nobuo Uematsu
      Tenpei Sato

And that is about it...but if you listed some others, I MIGHT recognize the names...but not this guy...

I guess it is all about the games you like...

But I'd have to say, worldwide? Nobuo Uematsu would probably be one of the best known...he does a lot of Square music (Final Fantasy, and I think he did Dragon Quest, possibly blue dragon? Not sure)...

Jesper Kyd did a great job of composing his commissions for the DDR series. I do not expect him to do anything bad.

Nice, Assassin's Creed just made itself that much better. Glad to see Kyd got chosen.

Well, I'm glad to hear people only commenting good things about him. I haven't really heard the music to Splinter Cell or Hitman but both were great games.
