According to VG Chartz, the Playstation 3 this week has outsold both the 360 and Wii the week ending 14th October. It seems that the 40Gb package has really saved Sonyand the same could be said about the price cut for the Playstation 3's 60Gb package. In Europe now there are numerous bundles you can take advantage of, it makes me regret purchasing a Playstation 3 at launch.

The Playstation 3 has sold during that week 77,827 units, while the Wii sells with a strong 75,033 and in third place the 360 with 42,244.

Things keep getting better for Sony.

I don't really care that I bought my PS3 earlier. I got a good deal and am satisfied with my decision.

But things are really looking up this Christmas. Anyone who said Sony aren't going to make back ground these holidays is a fool

I'm not bothered, but this has really suprised me. Especially with the price n' all..

This doesn't surprise me one bit.
Actually I lie, with the release of Halo 3 I thought the 360 sales would go through the roof.
So PS3 outsold the 360 even though it has no 'must have' games at the moment unlike the 360. Just imagine what it's going to be like when a 'must have' game gets released like MGS4.

I'm glad I got my PS3 early too. I would've missed out on some great gaming fun if I only bought the PS3 this week.

    I agree with MNMFAN, I wasn't surprised.

I saw this coming a mile away.

I'm still glad I got mine at launch, too. I wouldn't be able to get one now. XP

The 40GB is helping Sony immensely.

Wow, go Sony! Things are really looking up, I wonder what's gonna happen when MGS4, FF13 and GT5 come out?
