In quite possibly the oddest crossover this year (excluding Mario and Sonic in the same games for the first time.. ever), Tales of Symphonia's protagonist, the dual-wielding Lloyd Irving, in addition to being a cameo in Symphonia sequel Knights of Ratatoskr, is confirmed to be a playable character in Namco Bandai's Soul Calibur Legends. He's sporting a new mature-looking look.

I'm thoroughly surprised.

Lloyd isn’t restricted to the Tales universe. Namco Bandai is making him a guest character in Soul Calibur Legends with a serious looking character model (thanks for the scan IceAmp!). This is indeed a strange crossover; almost as awkward and cool as seeing Link in Soul Calibur 2.

Well...it's surprising, to say the least . I never even considered Lloyd appearing in any series besides the Tales series.

It's nice to see Lloyd in the game, though. I like him more than any of the Soul Calibur characters, and I'm curious in seeing how dual-weilded swords will control. His new look is interesting, too. I'm surprised, but this is actually getting me somewhat excited for the game.

He was in Tales of Symphonia for the gamecube, an excellent action rpg.

Yeah, the announcement of the second meeting makes way more sense.

I loved Tales of Symphonia so I light up when a Tales of Symphonia character is included in another game.

This was soo shocking. I'd never have guessed.
Why the hell him? His outfit is the same with some few changes, I heard some where.
