Army of Two was originally planned to be released on November 13th has now been officially delayed till early 2008. This is evidently unfortunate news as many holiday titles have been delayed recently.

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Electronic Arts Inc (ERTS.O: Quote, Profile, Research), the world's biggest video game publisher, said on Monday it will delay "Army of Two" to early next year, saying it needed more time to polish the military combat game.

EA can say all they want about this delay, but they know very well that there are too many big titles in 2007 to release this game.

Another coat of polish? I call bullshit, EA couldn't do anything more to this game. Graphically, gameplay-wise(which already looks bad due to the aggro-meter), and story-wise it's too comical.

That's exactly what I was thinking. While the whole weapon customization and co-op thing sound like a great concept, I really doubt Army of Two stands a chance in sales against games like Mass Effect or Call of Duty 4.

The only game anyone needs this season is Call of Duty 4!

'k. Wasn't to hyped about this game, looked like some fun butt I'd rather get Assassin's Creed or CoD 4.
