Call of Duty Black Ops Voted ‘Best Game Ending’ Of All Time
15 hours 8 mins ago
The recent Playstation 3 price cuts have been increasing sell units vastly around the U.K. 64,087 Playstation 3 units have been sold the week ending 21st October. While the 360 has only sold just over 37,000. Still nowhere near what the DS had sold 171,260 units. Although things are looking up for the PS3.
Xbox 360 was last week outsold by everything except Game Boy as PS3 sales make a charge for Wii's typically huge lead.

And with the recent price cut...
In fact, Sony have almost put the PS3 into a position, where I would consider getting one. I'm just gonna give it a year, hopefully the price'll go down again, and there'll be a decent line up.
That said, I'm getting a Wii first.
Everyone knew it was gona happen.
While not domination, it's certianly looking better for the PS3 now than it was.
Xbox 360 - 528k sold
PS3 - 119k sold
And that's with Sony doing better than Microsoft x5 in Japan.
If halo didn't come out that month the PS3 would have done alot better in comparison to 360. It probably would have been alot closer. Japan isn't going to help the PS3 sales alone. No matter how big of a market it is.
However i suspect the Price cut really helped them this time. So good job Sony, Just keep up the good work.
Like i stated before if halo 3 didn't come out last month the PS3 sales and 360 sales would be alot closer. Regardless who was ahead. That was my point.
Yeah, okay.
Halo 3 boosted the X360's sales, yeah. No shit. But that doesn't explain while the X360 has been outselling the PS3 time after time.
The PS2, at the time, had great functionality. Great games, DVD player, later adapted to online play, and had very little competition.
This generation is hampered by that. Not everyone wants to upgrade, nor sees why they should. Unlike Microsoft, Sony has kept it up with not one, but TWO systems. Though Sony stopped manufacturing PS2s, they're still selling. They're still making games for them as well. Microsoft just literally killed the original Xbox.
It's hard to say Sony is losing when they, technically, still have the leading console.
Back to that point though, yeah, the 360 is in trouble in terms of sales. The one year headstart may not have been big enough. We'll know for sure next year when Sony finally hits hard.
And of course Wii will always lead. It's freakin' $299.
