Call of Duty Black Ops Voted ‘Best Game Ending’ Of All Time

Wacko Jacko's at it again. He failed to get Manhunt 2 or Halo 3 banned, he's running the risk of losing his ability to practice law in the state of Florida, and yet he's on Fox still pushing for Manhunt 2 to be banned. I must say, he really doesn't know when to give up, does he?
On the flip side, I can see Manhunt 2 sales rising because of Thompson now.
Although he raised a spirited First Amendment defense, Hoenig was clearly not conversant with current video game issues. It would be nice if Fox would put someone up against Thompson who knew what they were talking about.
We wonder if Thompson would have the brass to go up against a video game-aware opponent instead of the likes of Hoenig, Bob Guccione, Jr. and author Gerard Jones. Nice folks all, were sure. But when Thompson gets into video game specifics, they are out of their depth.
Or maybe Fox likes it that way

The other guy hardly got to talk at all. Jack had the floor all to himself at first, and then Jack, as usual, stopped the guy nearly every time he tried to speak, and the lady stopped him before he could reply the last time. She was clearly a terribly biased reporter, obviously on Jack's side from the start. Awful report, anyway, even by Fox's standards.
But I have to say, if a kid goes to another kid's house and watches pornography, isn't that just as bad? Because it's certainly just as possible.
Second, it is not sold to children. It can't be legally sold to children. It isn't certainly marketed to children, either. Until he can find one commercial aimed at kids, he's just pulling this out of his ass.
Third, consoles have parental controls. Use them. I use them, and my six-year-old brother can't play violent games like Resident Evil 4 or the Godfather. I exercise some responsibility, and I'm just a sibling. Parents should do the caring, not let a game system babysit them.
Fourth, didn't the research they did find that there wasn't really a link at all between violent video games and violent behaviour in teens? Other than an extremely small, unstable minority (which exists in every age group), it really didn't affect them.
Fifth, a responsible adult should have every right to play whatever game he or she wants. It is not some failure of a lawyer's job to decide that. Again, adult, because only they are able to purchase the game. If a minor buys the game, that is the retailers fault and the seller is both fired and fined.
Anyway i agree with you otherwise but did you forget TV cable and such also has parental controls so its not easy watching porn on TV as you think. Unless the parents don't care.
Keep this up Jack and you can kiss your career bye bye just like your license.
Pitiful statements that go against nature. "It's a rated M game, so kids of all ages will have it... my son stinged a Target and successfully got an M rated game..." God, embarassing your own son now? Like he isn't embarassed enough being your son... "a kid can walk into a store and a clerk will sell it to him" He landed that horribly.
You're cooler than Ninjabread Man.
Point is, Jack Thompson is so much cooler than that Johnson guy. Seriously, who cares about Johnson's opinions? I love hearing Thompson's dreamy voice instead.
Pfft, it'd be okay if he had valid points. But all he does is ramble crap.
I love that Jonathan guy!
I hate Jack Thompson.
