Can't Release Manhunt In The UK? Where There's A Will There's A Way!

Krunal | October 24, 2007 | News | Playstation 2 Wii
Worried that you wont be able to play Manhunt 2 in the UK since the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) have refused to grant the title a rating? Well don't worry, you can still play it, and that too legally. Thanks to a loophole in the law *waits for cries from Jack Thompson* , players can play the game as a DOWNLOAD, since the rating issue is only for physical products.
Downloaded games, he said, do not need an age-suitability classification, such as 15 or 18, because the Act, which mandates the BBFC's certification programme and forces retailers to obey the classifications, only covers physical products.

A BBFC spokeswoman confirmed that if Manhunt 2 publisher Take-Two Interactive chose to sell the game online as a download then “that would be legal and not contravening the Video Recordings Act”. She added that some games are already sold this way without a BBFC rating, but that most developers choose to have their games classified because selling a physical product is more profitable.

I heard Manhunt led many people to suicide and murder.

I'm not so sure if it should be playable. I doubt Jack Thompson will care, he is still in the middle of his speech about banning Halo.

Yeah, it's called speculations, I wouldn't put too much attention to those...Thompson started a bit of an anti-gaming trend.

A better title would've been "Can't Release Manhunt In The UK? Where There's A Wii There's A Way!"

But yeah, Jack's still the biggest faggot on Earth.

Awesome does this work in America too? They should release it over steam or something. The AO version as well. I don't wanna play a censored game.
