New Dreamcast Game!

ITANI | October 25, 2007 | News | Dreamcast
A new game for one of the most under rated game consoles will be released in 2008. The creators being from Alice company based in France. The game will be so called Dynamite Dreams. Dynamite Dreams plays like Bomberman with the same sort of gameplay or actually it's a Bomberman clone which you will come to realise after you watch the video attached. Well I guess just when everyone thought the Dreamcast is dead, it's actually been ressurected.

Does anyway still have a Dreamcast? It's a shame that never took off.

I still have mine and I replay Shenmue every now and then. That game is a true classic.

I loved my Dreamcast like a family member, but I have to question why in the blue hell any company would be making games for it. I hope it doesn't cost them anything to produce it,

    Well, that was... unexpected.

I'll have to agree on the WTF factor though, as it would be much better financially for the company to make the game for a newer console.

The game itself looks lame, but I do admire the attempts of bringing the console back itself.

The only sad thing is it will only ever have outdated hardware, software, and graphics. It'd me much more efficent to make it for a dieing console like the PS2 than an already dead one.

Such a shame the DC never took off. It had quite a bit of potential, but the home console market is pretty demanding and if you're not financially backed up, you're screwed.

So...Is this going to be released in stores or something? How are people going to actually acquire this now that Target, Walmart, and Best Buy have ceased sales of anything to do with the system? Unless GameStop wants to take a blind swing at it...

No, worst timing ever. BIG difference. It was a good console. Shenmue is proof. It looked better than most PS2 games for years. Plus it was amazing.

Pointless, imo. Even people with Dreamcasts are more likely to buy a game on a newer system.
