Hopefully all those bugs have been ironed out. The more recent Ubisoft games tend to be filled with them.

The game looks amazing, though. I'm definitely going to pick it up, hopefully soon.

Even if there are small bugs. (like you say, in most of Ubi's games.) It will probably be incredibly great, like most of Ubi's other games.

I don't know about them being small, some other Ubisoft games have a hell of a lot of bugs, but the game looks incredible. The demo looked pretty good in terms of bugs, so if the final game maintains that quality then bugs shouldn't be an issue. The game looks great so far and a terrible framerate or constant bugs would ruin the experience, so hopefully it does maintain that quality.

Ubisoft hasn't been showing it much, which worries me a bit.

Yes! No more delays! Damn, Call of Duty 4, Assassin's Creed, Uncharted, and Mass Effect all come out back to back to back weeks. Guess I won't be getting anyone anything for Christmas.

yup, actually I'm glad I don't have a PS3 at this point. I won't have to worry about Uncharted

But yeah, most awesome/annoying expensive month in recent gaming history

"Gone gold" refers to when the game is completed and has been sent out for mass production. Essentially, the game is done. We just have to wait for it to be shipped out to stores.

EDIT: Same thing as ITANI said.

It means that the game is now being manufactured and will be ready to be shipped to retailers soon.

Happens quite frequently. Surprised Ubisoft managed it though, considering how often AC has been pushed back before.

Assassin's Creed was supposed to come out earlier this past summer, so no, it too was delayed.

        Tenken Oct 25, 07
They never actually gave a definitive release date though. They gave time periods, then pushed it back..oh, say, four times?

It was expected November '06. Pushed back until January '07. Pushed back again until April '07, then finally 'summer.'

          Yea...so what was your point?

          Ekou Oct 25, 07
Pointing out that it was delayed far more than once. Doesn't mean I have to have a point when stating that.

You said it was delayed, I simply went into further detail.

Every special edition seems to try to stand out now.

I feel sorry for the PC owners though

@Seproth - It IS supposed to come in a Tin case...

And I pre-ordered the Special Edition for the PS3 on like, thursday or something...

Oddly, the SE version of Mass effect (which I was to pre-order the same day) wasn't listed under pre-orders...I have to check about that again soon

I'm definatly investing in the Collector's Edition. I'm also getting the Assassin's Creed themed faceplate and skin for my Xbox 360. There's also an AC themed skin for the PS3, for PS3 owners that are interested. I think this game is gonna go a long way; I'm trusting that Ubisoft doesn't dissapoint, considering that this game has been in development for 4 years.
