The Crysis demo which was meant to be released worldwide today (Oct 26th) has now been officially delayed. It seems that the developer has read the early players feedback about the demo not functioning at all, which results in the developer delaying the highly awaited demo. The Crysis countdown to the demo's release has now been reset back to 22 hours. So basically the demo has been delayed for a day until the developer fixes the current situation.

EA and Crytek have tickled the brakes on the Crysis demo and pushed the worldwide release back to tomorrow.

haha I think that sums up the general response quite well. I mean given the beta though, it's kind of expected to see this one coming.

      "Hey your optimization sucks"
Yeah... we're working on it, expect the demo tomorrow!
"uh, we tried it, it still sucks"
Er... yeah we'll get back to you. Give us a day we'll get it right!

Trainwreck does not properly describe the handling of the releases to this point.

Hopefully the problems experienced with this demo have more to do with just shitty installation and other things and less to do with actual performance/optimization.

I mean the game doesn't even load up.

That's how you know it's a really good game. It's not that it couldn't load up. It's that systems were not able to comprehend how powerful the game was.

Well thats what Crytek would hope. Maybe they dumped the installer to only install a 16core supported mode.

Yeah ran no problem on high. Nice to be able to just drive a Hummer through a tree now and then. Hahaha

Again? Well, as long as it comes out tomorrow, that's tolerable, but I hope they don't delay it again. It was supposed to come out quite a long time ago, so I hope they can stick with this date.

    Not AGAIN!

There needs to be a law to stop game companies from withdrawing release dates. If they keep doing it, the least they could do would make it better than the reviews it's already gotten, or just make it cheaper.

right, so then the company is forced to keep the release date but the game still doesn't work?

I don't think this is a case of the demo not working but the authorization/activation process not working

Here's what I plan on doing once the demo is released:

    1. Begin download.
    2. Have screams of joy.
    3. Install game.
    4. Have more screams of joy.
    5. Find out computer sucks too much to run it.
    6. Swear profusely.
