EA has now confirmed that the highly awaited Crysis title has finally gone gold. This makes it a step closer for gamers to taste the grass on the 16th November.

If you can't wait till the 16th November, you can check you the demo where it's currently available to download here.

Cevat Yerli, CEO of Crytek said that the group is very proud with what they have accomplished with Crysis. Not only did they create a graphic gawping game but it's simultaneously non linear and he says that the final results deliver just that.

Strong words coming from the CEO, but are they true? We will see on the 16th November when Crysis floods retail stores around you.

I encourage all gamers with mediocre gaming PCs to join me in my sitting and muttering, as we tell people we really don't care about graphics at all.

It looks well enough actually, I tweaked my cfg files (the three of them I've found so far) and I've noticed some increased visuals going on.

That's very nice to know although my PC sucks to play this game. I need to upgrade and many players out there have to upgrade their PC's to play this so looking awesome game.

    I think the game's way too over-hyped.

If I managed to get it, it'd go on eBay for me, not even hit my CD drive. The minimum requirements are pretty high not to mention what you need to optimize it. All of the features go down the drain if you can't play it, eh?

Is it just me or the word Gold has been used to many times. Im kinda annoyed that people still say that when a game finally complete. But thats just my opinion.

It's an industry term, it would be like saying Gone beta, alpha, gamma or etc have also been used too many times.

Going gold means that the game has reached the final stage of development and has passed basic QC testing and will be pressed pending any further findings.

Yeah i guess your right, i just think they to need to find a more creative term for completion but i guess its all the same.

well its not the word gold but the term gone gold than is used to describe a game that has gone gold, or released as a final version. So using the word gold is just fine to describe something that has gone gold.
