Firmware 2.0 By Next 2 Weeks!

The highly anticipated firmware 2.0 is almost upon us. Three Speech has confirmed that the update will hit in any time in the next two weeks. No info what will be in the update. The only thing we know is that you will be able to turn on your PS3 via PSP. But I found some daunting quote from a Three Speech member.

We are hearing whisperings that Firmware Version 2.0 will be released in the next couple of weeks and one rather nice feature will be the functionality that will allow you to turn on your PlayStation 3 using a PSP via remote play. Hold tight for further news…

      I think the idea is, you're out and about but you want to do something on the PS3. You go to Starbucks or w/e, and connect your PSP to a wi-fi spot. You can then turn your PS3 on and use remote play to check your messages, or maybe go on the Playstation Store and start downloading a demo so it's finished by the time you get home.

    Why is it so hard to incorporate playing your own music in-game and accessing the XMB at any time you want? What are you doing Sony?

    Meh its not that big of a deal music would be nice but not esential.

      Thats how you feel, but there are a lot of people who have been waiting for that feature. Microsoft has been doing it since the first XBOX and even some PSP games allow you to do it. What is the big problem with recognizing something your audience wants?

    They haven't announced anything about this update so It still could be in this update. Again this is a big update so it oculd be in here.

    i just hope that all the rumours are true, if not it's not too bad, because being able to turn the ps3 on by remote play would be pretty sweet...
