What to say? Well, we all know that this game is M-rated, however some people though this game was "safe". Well, for their dissapointment, some hackers uncovered some adult content within the game.

Local Target stores have been pulling Manhunt 2 off their store shelves in response to the recent events where some hackers uncovered adult content within the game.

Even though the ESRB themselves remained firm with the game's M rating, it looks like Target is taking no chances and is removing the game from its stores.

According to the source, all Target managers are required to stop selling the game, including refusing shipments of the game for all systems. Also Take-Two agreed to take back all unopened copies of the game.

    Hackers uncovering information is new?

If some nerds who spend hours looking for it, then how will the average gamer, especially considering it it rated 'M' and not 'AO'. Stupid, really. I think this will lower sales, but not that this move will make any difference.

Its just like with the Hot Coffee thing with San Andreas. These people dont know how video games work, and they dont care, all they want is to try and ban as many games as they can.

Stupid decision on their part IMO. It's only the PSP version that can have the "adult content" enabled, which is only having the censors during executions removed, the way the game was meant to be played before the ESRB complained.

This news doesn't really bother me at all seeing as...

    1: I don't shop at Target

and 2: I don't see whats the big deal with Manhunt 2!

*Ehh* It's Target's choice, I suppose. Target's main customers are women and their children after all, so it doesn't really surprise me that they choose not to sell a game like Manhunt 2, especially with the bad rep it's been getting in parent groups.

I'm quite suprised about that aswell, 'cos i thought hackers put stuff into the game, not finding out stuff that's already in the game...

Oddly enough Target.com doesn't list the PS2 or Wii versions but lists the crackable PSP edition.

It seems to be an act based on little if any research, good thing they went ahead and nuked the two versions that were ok to begin with.
